Thought we'd done this before, but couldn't find the topic when searching. Anyway, mine today is:

  1. Intervention
  2. (Antichrist Television Blues)
  3. Rebellion (Lies)
  4. Windowsill
  5. Neighbourhood #1 (Tunnels)

1- No Cars Go 2- Black Wave/Bad Vibrations 3- Tunnels 4- The Well and The Lighthouse 5- Power Out

and then the next five would be

6- Wake Up 7- Black Mirror 8- Rebellion 9- Intervention 10- I'm Sleeping in a Submarine

Here is a band which just dont do bad songs.

Is it still your favourite gig ever,Tim?

Well I've only seen Interpol, the Manics, Re:Order, Section 25, Kevin Hewick, Crispy Ambulance, The Names, The Buzzcocks, Alternative TV, Johnny Moped, Chelsea and The Fall since then, as I've had a few other things to contend with lately, so yes I would say it was.

Top hilarious Arcade Fire moments:

Never before has anyone been quite so scared when meeting me...

Its a shame that there is no known footage of Win Butler knocking my substantial frame on my arse during the Nottingham gig.

Stuck the first nine of these (10th one ain't on either album I've got) in order on a playlist last night to listen to on the way home, try see what the fuss is all about.

Still don't really get them, I'm afraid. Think it's the lad's vocal that puts me off first and foremost.

Do like "No Cars Go", and the "Power Out" one was alright.

does power out not remind you of temptation?

No, Touched by the HOG.

Vincenzo was banging on about one track having a TBTHOG bassline at Summercase - I presume that's the one?

Decided to start doing solo acoustic gigs again, just me and a 12-string, so have been practising a few Arcade Fire tunes to add to the set. Expect the likes of Windowsill and Intervention, maybe Antichrist TV etc. Apart from these, the set will contain a couple of New Order, various Beatles, Lemonheads, Oasis, REM, Husker Du, Smiths, Velvets, Radiohead, Manics etc.

  1. Tunnels
  2. Rebellion (Lies)
  3. Wake Up
  4. Une année sans lumière
  5. No Cars Go (Neon Bible version)

Not that I don't like Neon Bible, but those top 3 songs are clearly stuck in my head... #4 is my "coup de coeur", probably because it's half in french... and the later one is just pure fun live.

Power Out is a real homage to New Order - with the drums from Temptation, the sequenced bass riff from Touched By The Hand Of God, and the rhythm of State Of The Nation!

My top 5 (and they are probably my favourite band these days)

Intervention Tunnels Ocean Of Noise Rebellion Windowsill

Are you MIMX in disguise? I think you are, becasue you would have to be on that level to say something so fucking stupid.

Why is that so fucking stupid, Liam?

Me and Dave have already said in this thread we think it sounds like (a) TBTHOG and (b) Temptation.
