So Liverpool fans, how is the Tom Hicks experiment working out for you????

The local sports talk station here in Dallas is actually having an English soccer discussion (although it is centered around what Hicks has and hasn't done with the team).

If his ownership of Liverpool is anything like that of the Texas Ranger (baseball), y'all are in for a long haul. That or until he sells Liverpool for a handsome profit. Tom Hicks may not be the smartest sports guy, but he knows how to make a buck.

Started at the Luton reply last week and grew with the Villa game. But, have to say it doesn't exactly sit well with me. The supporters stance of the last few months has been that it's 'not the Liverpool way' how the Yanks have aired their dirty washing in public and the Kop's response has been "We are concentrating on the next game and supporting our Manager" Now it seems we're also airing dirty washing.

What else can you do? Interesting to note none of the banners were taken down. Which is in stark contrast to when fans protested about the Chapions League ticket farce. Perhaps there's a feeling within the club that getting rid of the Yanks is a good idea.

I think the fans are right to fight fire with fire,Dave.. They don't want a pair of shithawks who don't have a clue,or even care what the club means to the fans,running the club..Seems the only way to express that feeling is the way they are doing it.

It's looking pretty blatent the yanks are only interested in lining their pockets out of LFC.Like we did'nt know that already.They are looking to sell already for a profit,no? I'd hate that to happen to my club.You can't really blame the fans for feeling strongly about this.

You're right, Jeff. Not a whole lot has happened since 1999 except bad trades, bad free agent signings and bad front office moves.

As for the Rangers, the A-Rod deal was a HUGE mistake unless he planned on keeping the guy.
