Loads of forums seem to have these 'what are you listening to?' threads, which are pretty pointless.

For instance, here, many people will list 'TPK' or whatever and you'll see it several times in one thread. We already know the song. We all like New Order, so what's the point?

How about recommending just one track - name the band too.

Make it a band that you think most others won't have heard, but that many here will probably like.

Provide a link to where people can hear the song maybe, or let them search for it themselves.

Far more interesting and we all get to discover new stuff.

So, what would you recommend?

Since we all like New Order - well, most of us - then I think the opening of this in particular is rather New Orderish!

The Godfathers meet Devo and the Smurfs and recruit 'Syler' from 'Heroes' on drums. VERY entertaining!

Ok, so not quite the idea of the thread, but I do recommend a show on manchester radio on line The mix tapes With Stef,Dave and Dom

Click Fridays between 7 and 9 pm

And if anyone used to like listening to James Stannage he does shows there too now.

Quite chilled tonight... the acoustic set by the band wasn't bad. Had an amazing guy on last week...great voice.
