I've added you.

So now we can be proper friends (instead of all that emailing one another all day and meeting up several times a year which is sooooo last year).

I've said I won't play him again. This game really is the last one.

Do I dare ask why?

He cheats

It really is the only explanation. Nobody can be that good, know all those words and keep getting scores 80+.

I'll stick to playing you halfwits :p

I refuse to cheat or use the magnifying glass thing or any of the other tools. It's more fun being boring and trying to apply as many sexual references as you can. Unfortunately I have only had a poke so far.

nah, burt doesn't cheat. I've beaten him a few times and i'm not that good. Of course, he's beaten me probably by a 4:1 ratio. We ain't keeping track, we play for fun.:evil4:

Is the magnifying glass cheating

whaddya mean magnifying glass?? looking up a word? than i'm guilty.

and how come i can edit post without being posted that i did? i like it i don't look like an idiot.

I did use a cheat program once, just so I could know what it felt like to beat Burt. I've found that I've played a lot better since then.

But the word look-up feature isn't cheating, shirley!

No way. You can do the same by laying a word, and it tells you if its valid or invalid. Thats the diff between computer and manual scrabble.

As for cheating its pretty obvious when you play one. I could list the symptoms, but i can't be arsed.

I'm sure they're obvious.

And pretending to know the word by airily dropping it into conversation is top of the list!

there are programs out there where you can put fdown whats on the board & what tiles you have & it tells you which is the highest scoring option available to you there was an article on the whole subject by charlie brooker & he listed soft cheats & hard cheats - soft cheats are where you look the word up on the dictionary option to see if its valid, hard cheating is where you use a program like the one above.

he said he tried both & whilst he won using the second it was no fun so he just stuck to using the first option, not winning so often & having more fun.

i'm with him on that. use the dictionary option, its part of the application so not cheating

I'd rather play without any help, but each to their own.

If you beat me Hibster, you will DEFINITELY have cheated

Been debating posting this very comment for quite some time. Glad there's someone as rude as me, with even less conscience.
