Alex James, the bass player from Blergh, will be going to Columbia to find cocaine on BBC1 at 8.30 tonight.

It's a dirty job...

Cocaine - Alex James in Colombia

Alex James has confessed to spending a million pounds on champagne and cocaine during the Britpop years with Blur. Now with the drug more popular in the UK than ever before and celebrities in the firing line for promoting it, he travels to Colombia at the invitation of the government. He meets the farmers, the sellers and the enforcers and hears the message that every gram is tainted in blood.

Did anyone see him on Question Time last week?

Didn't see it meself, but he's been absolutely slated on another forum as coming across as really thick and a bit of an airhead.

Seeing as he's gone from snorting coke of groupies arses to knitting his own organic cheese, hopefully part of the Panorama investigation will be to find out exactly when it all went so wrong.

His Wikipedia entry mentions it. Says he was like a rabbit caught in some headlights.

Panorama ain't what it used to be.The theme tune's gone all softy softy instead of that harrowing serious toon that used to brighten those cold bleak winter Monday nights back in the 70s and 80s.And it's only on for half an hour.Shame on you BBC

Just had a moving text from Jem. The documentary; with all it's depiction of the horrors and misery that this terrible trade inflicts on the population of that great country, the massive human cost of the trade, the futility of the war against drugs and the bravery of Alex James in playing whatever part he can in bringing these truths a little closer to us has obviously made quite an impact on her.

I'm sure she won't mind me sharing her words with you all, so I will.

What's with his hair?

I will treasure those words.

 You fucker!!

Anyway, did you see that scene where he was lay back on the sofa contemplating. The next scene he was quite vocal and his eyes were like saucers!
