Foxton and Buckler are From The Jam and are in Portland tomorrow, will probably go to check it our for curiosity's sake, though the best bit is that Hugh Cornwell will be opening. Wonder if peaches are in season?

Have no idea about anything else beyond tomorrow, gotta pick the papers up to see what's brewing.

Unfortunately, the Grid is on a weekday (Wednesday), so probably up in Telford... Aaaarghhh....

Long Range are on the Thursday before Easter (all-nighter - an XfM night, apparently) - at SeONE - underneath the arches at London Bridge - not a bad venue! :thumb:

Also, thinking about the Gatecrasher Summer Weekender: The Prodigy, The Chemical Brothers, Simian Mobile Disco, CSS, Digitalism, New Young Pony Club, Soulwax and more ( :shades: ) - unfortunately, it's a 3-day festival at the end of May, somewhere inbetween Bicester and Silverstone...

Blimey, that's when I saw them (Reading 89) - I *knew* I'd seen them at some point - cheers Dave! :thumb:

I've still got to try and remember the London venue I saw Galaxie 500 in (some journo asked me what I thought of the gig and I glibly took the piss and said "they sound like MBV (or was it JAMC)" - twat published it in one of the music papers the following week)!

And, I'm pretty sure I saw JAMC at ULU - possibly the Rollercoaster tour? I remember chatting to Mikki and Bobby Gillespie in the audience... God, my memory's gash nowadays!

She's just won Legs of the Year, hasn't she?

I saw some magazine article where they were basically asking HOW a munchkin could win such an award when you've got all these leggy statuesque birds around with MUCH longer legs.

But the theory is her legs are disproportionate to her height. She's got a shorter body, and longer legs, then the average person, so looks far more 'leggy' than most as a result.

Oh, she's just got an OBE too. Bet she prefers the Legs award though.
