What's the story about this one? I saw the ad briefly at home - she's just died, or summat, just like John Simm?

And WHAT THE FCUK is she wearing?!!!!

Desperately hoping this isn't going to be shite and taint the LoM legacy.

Fingers crossed :thumb:

Alex Drake (Keeley) is the Psych Evaluation Officer who Sam Tyler gave a tape of his experiences to in the last ep of Life On Mars.

In 2008, Drake gets shot and wakes up in 1981. Supposedly, some terrible thing happened to her in 81 and if she can stop it happening again she can get home...

The creators say the soundtrack covers Dexys Midnight Runners to Joy Division and to look out for cameos from Steve Strange, George and Zippy and Shaw Taylor.

Keep 'em peeled...

I'm far too much of a gent to refer to the delightful Ms. Hawes in such a crude maner, but I know where you're coming from Clive...

Nah, not really. Though you won't have a clue who Gene Hunt and his merrymen are.

Actually, no, you surely must know who Gene Hunt is without watching the show? His face has been plastered everywhere.

And he gave the world the best insult ever - "You great soft sissy girlie nancy french bender Man United supporting poof"!

Genius!

I'd give Life on Mars a try though - very good idea, well made.

Did anyone else notice that Ian Curtis was the killer?

She was the best reason to watch the first three series of Spooks.

Who cares if she's not the best actress.....

It wasn't the best start, but it had a lot to live up to from the previous series.

However, I did like the A-Team style shootout (i.e. loads of bullets, but not one person got shot)!

Well yeah , she'd get it obviously .Was she in Life On Mars? Didn't quite follow who she is. Got more into the '81 feel as the prog went on and will be tuning in again next week.

Did anyone else notice how bad the dialogue was in places?

"I'm gonna get YOUUUUU!"

and a real corker from Gene Hunt later on:

"I'm here to protect you from the badness OUT THERE"

John Simm must be pissing himself.

Rubbish  it was like the worst LoM episode times three and that's before you take into account the holes in the plot.

I really wanted it to be good as well.
