Your "One-Hit Wonder" Artists

By definition (from wikipedia) a one-hit wonder is an artist generally known for only one hit single. But then, let's face it, not all one-hit wonder artist suck or only has one good hit. Some of them even was just 'forced' by their record companies to release a single commercially for the record companies' own reasons.

But then, some artists really have ONLY ONE GOOD HIT/TRACK. Here's my short list:

1. EMF - Unbelievable (I love this track, but then the rest of Schubert Dip album suck. Never bothered to listen/buy the other releases after it.)

2. Spacehog - In The Meantime (just like EMF, I bought it's debut album (Resident Alien) because I love the first single, only to find out later that it was the only track that appealed to me.)

i used to have her first album on cassette. the night before i went to my first new order concert, my friend and i ripped the tape out of the cassette and fed it into an oscillating fan. it broke the fan and my dad was really pissed off at me, but it was worth it, at least symbolically. i do still have 'i think we're alone now' on 45, though.

I have the Schubert Dip album and I can say is not bad, I mean…is not the last coke of the desert but it’s ok, I love the tune called Travelling Not Running.

In the meantime is nice too.

NO. i don't care what trinkets and baubles adorned their chart outing - it was their only hit (albeit a fine one, and my song of choice at karaoke (with nose held for authenticity)). so there.
