Trident Soft

I just saw the new advert for Trident Soft chewing gum on the telly.

I was going to summarise the advert, but I can do no better than this, from the site linked above:

A young man eats a piece of Trident Soft Gum while at the photocopier, then is transported to a surreal storybook style world where he dresses as a rabbit, has a pillow fight and opens a door on the floor which a sea of teddy bear floods out, then a giant woman looks as he holds onto a cloud, blows him through the clouds and he lands on a giant mattress, suddenly he is back at work by the photocopier.

In other words: he's bored at work, has some gum and starts tripping his tits off.

It made me wonder. What kind of adverts would we see if hallucigenic drugs were legalised?

Unless they have and Trident Soft is, in fact, hallucigenic gum.

Probably that one where i am in WORK!Surreal and what great DRUGS i'd have taken.

My mates and I studied the phenomenon of the "mushroom adverts". Basically, adverts got trippier and more psychadelic from September/October to November, just in time for the seasonal fungus fest. Not sure if it still goes on, or frankly if it ever went on, we were, after all, tripping off our ballix at the time.

You gotta love these theories that fuct people come up with.

The thing is but, that we noticed them even when NOT fuct.

Eg, fourth week of Sept, the shrooms out in force and a new advert for a loca supermarket comes on which is simply a "ppoing" still rave track with the world "value" written in several sizes and colours leapt in time to it towards the viewer and back.

We did encounter it the following week while under the influence and found it deeply hilarious.

False advertising-It's shite,it does'nt work. I tested it out on my daughter.Nothing,zip.Pity,cos it's quite cheap to buy.Curses.
