Outstanding gig. Band keep on getting better and better. The new stuff outshines most of the old stuff, and did a really good cover of "Lullaby".

Great show, came onstage, didnt say much, played their songs and fucked off again.

It's from my friend Emma. She bought the extra ticket for her fella who has to work, so nothing untoward! She was at Man V Cancer with him on Saturday and they lost each other. I'll have to stay glued to her side

how do mark, aye, though the last time i saw them in brum they were playing in an underpass by harvey nicks, so was a little strange seeing them in such a large venue!

They were fantastic! Great version on The Cure's LULLABY,and they actually sound better live than on record,which is a feat. Big hello to Jemmie,Emmie,Liam and Big Clive.

their previous cover versions have been great though - especially french disco

Why is this thread still active?

Off the top of me head, reasons to like Editors:

1. They have a couple of half-decent pop tunes (in a sub-JD, really-want-to-be-U2 kind of way).
2. Liam really likes them, so it's a good way to take the piss.

Reasons to dislike Editors:

1. That singer.
2. Edith Bowman.
3. They want to be U2. And not in a good way.
4. Their songs all sound the same. And not in a good way.
5. Those fucking awful, sub-adolescent lyrics.
6. They were hyped as the new Joy Division, which ALWAYS means you're going to be shit.
7. The fact that they appear to be seen as a cut above their contemporaries tells you how godawful a lot of the current crop of 'credible' bands are.
8. That fucking singer.

Give me a few hours, I'll think of more.

9. They're just Coldplay with a bit more faux-angst.

Doesn't the bassist look like the rugby playing older brother of one of the other band members? I see they always push him to the back of the promo photos too. Lumbering buffoon!

didnt think road to nowhere worked and i dont even like the original talking heads one either,but i like the orange crush one editors did live
