i download stuff - tends to be stuff i'd have trouble getting hold of elsewhere or one-off tracks. but i still buy cds, especially new releases and whole albums.

it's largely a tactility thing. will that ever become obsolete?

The sleeve of the New Order LPs were very beautiful. Don't you miss that with your MP3 ? Well, I must admit that the beautiful sleeves were a XXth century thing...

I used to frequesnt Rhino records in LA. Great place, and from the looks of it, they are still around. Seems they went digital as well to survive. They too had bands that would stop by, and being LA they were bands that were a bit known (Sublime, Save Ferris, Fishbone, Offspring were ones I saw).

But alas, I too am like biggie, I haven't bought a cd in ages. Is the album art really worth the cost? I mean you look at it for a couple minutes and it gets stashed away. Plus I hate cds anymore... don't use those big, clunky things....

Not yet.There are still 2 in CHORLEY but i don't use either of them anyone.The few records i purchase are now bought in either BOLTON or MANCHESTER.Best purchase recently was 40 12 inch PLASTIC SLEEVES.Difficult to get hold of these days.Great fun to apply to the record I can TELL you.My next purchase will be another of those STATIC brush sets that you place on the record whilst SPINNING(the records NOT me!).On a good day they play the MUSIC just like a STYLUS does!Bet you wished you NEVER asked?

Oi! In Syracuse, NY, Sound Garden's sister store, same name, is still doing quite well! My only gripe...shite downtown Syracuse parking, either you give yourself an extra half an hour to park a mile within where you want to go, or you cough up $5+

Still an ace store...started my love affair when I bought a used copy of Technique for $7 (!). Paid off again as I recently picked up all the JD remasters, whereas none of the other retailers in the Cuse have them...Cheers!
