Welcome to Behind Closed Doors, the new general chat forum of NewOrderOnline.com

We had to start this forum because the Digital Republic forum was getting a lot of off-topic threads, it was a necessity.

Here, everything goes, which means, there is no topic. The moderators and webmasters reserve the right to move off-topic posts from other forums in here, if they judge they would fit here.

Of course, all posts still need to follow our community standards.

We are looking for a moderator for this forum, all you really need is to be someone that is a regular visitor and that is willing to assure that everyone follow our community standards.

Have fun.

wicked! that means that my lack of no trivia will no longer prevent me from posting through fear of upsetting no diehard fans! and the only pre-requisite needed is simply the love of no and their smashing tunes.

Bit dizzy at the moment I am, I have started in "Digital Republic" and end up "behind closed doors". Maybe I have been moved by the webmaster together with the thread but I am a tad lost now.

Glad everyone like the idea.

This forum is moderated by The Jessie (aka Jeff the-drunk-american-in-london)...

If the forum goes well, maybe we'll need another one, but actually, THERE IS NO TOPIC HERE, so do as you will (well, while respecting the community standards)

As a diehard New Order fan I was delighted to be given the chance to see the band in Ireland last week. They were support to Red Hot Chilli Peppers for whom I had no real interest. However, I am very disappointed with New Orders performance. The set was terrible, the performance was atrocious and the band verbally insulted members of the audience. It was as if New Order did not want to be there and let everyone else know that. You must realise that much of todays youth have never even heard of New Order. I think the least the band could have done was shown a bit of respect for the true fans who paid alot of money to get to the gig only to see New Order. In fact the Red Hot Chilli's made up for the disappointment of New Order. This experience has severely tainted my interest in New Order

Sorry to hear that :( Being "themselves" is all part of their peculiar charm though, the harder they die the more we laugh at these idiosyncracies ! Certain individuals on here even trade tapes of between-song "banter" !!

Er, blimey. I actually thought they put in a reasonable performance (bar the 60mph re-start) by their standards. But then bum-notes and missed chords have always been part & parcel of the Norder experience. Only thing that let them down here was the venue, and the complete disinterest shown by 90% of the onlookers. No atmosphere whatsoever. Where was the craic, huh? And if someone's gonna chuck abuse at Hooky from the front of the stage, then why shouldn't he be allowed to return it with added vigour. Barney, on the other hand, didn't say a bad word all set, from what I remember? And as for the setlist - if you've not actually seen 'em before surely it was EXCELLENT? All the hits. And more.

Can't comment on the Chilli Peppers, mind. We'd gone by then.
