St Patricks day was on Saturday (15th) this year, today is the start of Holy Week in the Catholic calendar, and you cant have a saints feast day during it (St Josephs day was also moved to the 14th).

so youre 2 days late Biggie

You claim to be Scottish!

Worst day of the year if you ask me. People celebrating allegedly being from Ireland as if its some kind of acheivement...

Sorry but, I'm an Episcopalian/Anglican. The Pope isn't my final authority. That's my stand on it and I'm sticking to it! :nono:

17 March will always be Saint Patrick's Day in my calendar. Holy Week or otherwise.

Don't drink too much green beer, and have a good 'un.

The Anglican's cancelled it completely, so you're really fucked.

What say for St. George's day, we all drink 3 gallons of Stella and beat the fuck out of Johnny foreigner?

Have the septics even got a saint? (apart from the chap with the big round ears and a high pitched voice)

St. Paddy was a scam artist "drove the serpents from Ireland"

have you ever stood in a dew soaked meadow by the river Ban in spring? No serpents my fucking arse.

Heard from a turbo-prod I know...... "bloody fenians always claiming St Paddy as their own, I mean nobody knows, he could have been a prod" In defiance of a lifelong tradition, I left that alone and walked away.

The day's no fun in Ireland - it's a day of temperance, there, traditionally. It really is an American holiday, a way of showing all those nativists back then just how many Irish there are here. My cousins come out from Ireland too to have a good time

All I'm going to say then is, don't piss off a 12.5%-Irish woman who celebrates the day whether the Church likes it or not. :nono:

Oi, don't make me pull rank (mainly cos Conrad and Eimaer can trump me  )

Besides, I's sick as a whore and will be doing nothing exciting today whatsoever. Bitter? Twisted? Me? Nahhhhh
