Yes it is that time of year!
The sound of leather on willow and the smell of freshly cut grass that signals it will soon be shed game season.
Who want's to be the first to herald the occasion with a shed song ?
Don't be shy :)

If you like to gamble, I tell you I'm your man You win some, lose some, it's -all- the same to me The pleasure is to play, it makes no difference what you say I don't share your greed, the only card I need is The Ace Of Spades The Ace Of Spades
Playing for the high one, dicing with the devil, Going with the flow, it's all a game to me, Seven or Eleven, snake eyes watching you, Double up or quit, double stake or split, The Ace Of Spades The Ace Of Spades
You know I'm born to lose, and gambling's for fools, But that's the way I like it baby, I don't wanna live for ever, And don't forget the joker!
Pushing up the ante, I know you've got to see me, Read 'em and weep, the dead man's hand again, I see it in your eyes, take one look and die, The only thing you see, you know it's gonna be, The Ace Of Spades The Ace Of Spades
Lemmy told me about this down the allotment. He's a bit GREASY!![]()
We all need some rain A good downpour to water the grain It's sown in flower beds It's grown next to the wooden sheds Now you mow the grass You move your flabby ass so fast If you don't strim the lawn You won't have time to watch your porn
Without rain they'll never grow Without rain the hose won't flow Without rain no flower show Without rain it's Miraclegrow Without rain dry as a bone Without rain I only moan Without rain garden's in pain Without rain it's not the same
Now you must prune trees What good's a lime when it's got no leaves Taps they'll never turn They're dry like leaves, they're gonna burn It's time we went indoors To eat some bread and silence the whores Know the feel of foam Join our world and spank our gnome
Without rain they'll never grow Without rain the hose won't flow Without rain no flower show Without rain it's Miraclegrow Without rain dry as a bone Without rain I only moan Without rain garden's in pain Without rain it's not the same
Wherever you may plant the seeds Don't ever take my lovely weeds Wherever you may plant the seeds Don't you dig up my lovely weeds
The Worm Song - dedicated to Johnny !
Nobody likes me Everybody hates me Just because I eat worms
Short fat hairy ones Long tall skinny ones See how the little ones squirm
Bite all their heads off Suck all the juice out Throw the empty skins away
Nobody Likes me Everybody hates me Cos I eat worms all day
Nobody likes us Everybody hates us Just because we eat worms
Short fat hairy ones Long tall skinny ones See how the little ones squirm
Bite all their heads off Suck all the juice out Throw the empty skins away
Nobody Likes us Everybody hates us Cos we eat worms all day
The old home town looks the same as I step down from the train, and there to meet me is my Mama and Papa. Down the road I look and there runs Mary hair of gold and lips like cherries. It's good to touch the green, green grass of home. Yes, they'll all come to meet me, arms reaching, smiling sweetly. It's good to touch the green, green grass of home. The old house is still standing tho' the paint is cracked and dry, and there's that old oak tree I used to play on.
Down the lane I walk with my sweet Mary, hair of gold and lips like cherries. It's good to touch the green, green grass of home. Yes, they'll all come to meet me, arms reaching, smiling sweetly. It's good to touch the green, green grass of home.
[spoken:]
Then I awake and look around me, at four grey wall surround me and I realize that I was only dreaming. For there's a guard and there's a sad old padre - arm in arm we'll walk at daybreak. Again I touch the green, green grass of home. Yes, they'll all come to see me in the shade of that old oak tree as they lay me 'neath the green, green grass of home.

There's a dangerous place that Dad keeps locked And it's called the garden shed. If I got in there to play Mum says I'd be sent to bed.
She says it's not just in the house Where there's things that cut or spill. Anywhere grown ups keep their things Could cause pain or make me ill.
Dad has chemicals in the shed All stored in rows on racks. Things for stopping garden pests Are in bottles, sprays and packs.
Stuff is there to make plants strong And keep grass green and thick If I ever touched some I could get very sick.
Mum often says don't go there If she sees me near the shed Cos of tools like, knives and saws An accident she does dread.
Big forks, spades and rakes are there And a pole with spikes and wheel. All these things could cause me harm And hurt and make me squeal.
There's certainly some dirt around Among the pots and canes, Compost spilt upon the floor And some liquid for the drains.
What mum and dad don't seem to know I'm scared of the garden shed. It's not because of tools and sprays There's something else I dread.
There could be a wild animal Like a mouse or great big rat I know some like to live in sheds So I'm keeping out, that's that.
Accidents may take place in any room in the home or in garages, sheds and outbuildings. The purpose of the poem is to educate the child in a fun way of some of the dangers. The poem should trigger further discussion and perhaps a guessing game as to the risks that are in other areas of the home and garden. Children need to know that there are things that adults need to use that should never be touched by a child.
