I put £20 on an Argentina win and Tyson to KO Lewis :nonono: I'd love it if South Korea or Senegal won the bloody thing - can't see it though - I'll be cheering on the Brazilians, Germany may well cause an upset - can't see it either though!

It's no disgrace to be beaten by the best team in the tournament, and let's face it, Ronaldinho's goal was sheer flair and audacity, you just can't legislate for that sort of quality. No blame to Seaman at all for that.

I eagerly await Scotland's attempts to qualify for Germany 2006. In fact, I can't wait to hear Flower of Scotland blaring out before their Quarter Final appearance.......

My thoughts on the quarter-finals, not that anyone wants them. I'm not disappointed that England lost, just the manner in which they went about it. They. Just. Did. Not. Perform. Still, it's better to leave with some grace having been beaten by a better team than play brilliantly and lose on penalties. Germany still look incredibly ordinary, and if that dumbass Dallas had seen the blatant hand-ball on the line it may have been different. I hope Korea spank them roundly. Turkey have already given Brazil a game, so you never know.

The main thing that's struck me about this World Cup is the way that countries such as Korea, Japan, Senegal and the US have progressed by just playing football. No throwing themselves to the ground or man-handling the referee. The Argentina's, Italy's and to an extent England's of the world should take note.

England played like a bunch of amatuers during the second half of the Brazil game. Beckham turned out to be an overhyped moron with a mohawk for the whole tournament. He was funny when Ali G was making fun of him and his bird on Comic Relief but his football ability took a vacation for the World Cup. I was pulling for the English squad until nearly 3AM PST when I realized they SUCK. Couldn't do a thing even with a one man advantage. Who cares about the USA squad? No one in about 2 weeks time when the World Cup is just a memory.
