Forgot all about this - ta for bumping it up.
Torrent downloading as I speak!

I'm probably the only one not that impressed with the new album...
Has anyone else noticed that some songs are really repetitive in places? Especially Runaway which repeats "My little runaway" about 25 times before the track fades adding up to at least 2 minutes of fat on that tune alone. Various other songs also suffer from that problem and as for the one with the bloke on vox? No ta. Being honest, I don't particularly wanna listen to songs sung in Bulgarian either and that accounts for at least two tracks straight away.
Ghosts is a top tune and a definite flash of the old genius but again suffers from "There's a ghost in me" being repeated about 20 times before the fade out. Are any of these tracks gonna be edited before the commercial release?!
Perhaps it'll grow on me... Witching Hour made far more of a proper impact and seemed a genuine step forward for their sound. Velocerwhasis just seems like a badly edited retread of what they've done (better) before.
I'll keep listening though
I desperately want to like this as I loved the first three albums.

Funny, cos i think it has a lot more depth than other albums. I've been hammering the album though, and it seems to get better each time. No standout killer instant singles on it though.

why?

Pretty simple, I don't understand the language.
The same would go for songs sung in German, French, Welsh, Gaelic etc.
Not my bag and that's just my own personal preference.
I can see how some Bulgarian Ladytron fans would be over the moon about those tracks but as I don't speak the language it doesn't appeal to me. Nor was it designed to I suppose.

"We doesn't mind the language,it's the beatings we don't need"..:squeezesmilie:
Nah don't mind it in a foreign language.Better that than hearing it on some call centre!!
Didn't think it was that bad an album per se, but there's a right couple of stinkers on there - 'Versus' and 'Klevtka' were just awful.
Sadly, no great standout track(s) like previous albums have boasted.
Just got back and I have to say I was very impressed, I'd heard previous reports of them not being great live. We were all transfixed. There was a well balanced mix of old and new songs and a couple I hadn't heard that I will be downloading tomorrow.
Met Monty, Steve, ATR and Barry in the SU Bar to watch the game. Ladytron weren't coming on until the end of the match (one of them is a Liverpool Fan) but at full time we were scared of missing something so went into the hall. Still don't know exactly how Chelski won, I'll just get a paper tomorrow.
Ladytron get the thumbs up from me ![]()
Wasn't it fab?? Mind you I'm more used to be at the feet of Mira and Helen at puppy dog distance.
FIGHTING IN BUILT-UP AREAS sounded better than record!

Ooh you've got to go! Here's a little teaser from Manchester Academy...
Grrr... went to the London date, after having an absolute pig of a day. Got there late, place was rammo with people, and the 'tron were already on.
Heard three songs, and they stopped. Half an hour later, Helen and Mira came back on looking like angels, saying they appear to have been the first band to blow up the mixing desk at the Astoria in 20 years. All tickets, are valid for a rescheduled date.

London date reschduled for July 16th apparently.
Which is just two days before Summercase begins. I think most of the Latitude lineup is complete, as is the Benicassim line up. So maybe they might show up in Barcelona. Would be nice.
I cant get tickets to the rescheduled date as I fly out that day. :(

Wooohoo... I'm doing Summercase on the 17th. Perfect pre-festival preparation.

surely that's a good thing - means you can go again
