Nice selection. 'Duel' must be one of the best pop songs ever. A right pair of foxy German minxes they were, too.

I think a similar comp is required for underground 80's dance music. Good ones are few and far between.

I've literally got tons of 80's CD's. The last few I bought are 3 CD compilations and basically they're 90% the same songs, just in a different order.

I will, of course, buy this.

looks good. i've got a couple of similar ones - something called 'lost property' from yonks ago and something i think was just called 'alternative eighties'. still get played to death when i'm doing the washing up...

i also have 'alternative 80's' compo and a lot of the tracks are on there.i play it a fair bit actually.

What a fuckin' swizz! "The Edge Of The 80s" it's called - and yet there isn't even a U2 song on there. Boooo hissss...... And yet we have Simple Bloody Minds though...

Mind you, at least it kinda redeems itself by having ON DISC THREE TRACK NUMBER ELEVEN one of the finest EVER songs committed to vinyl BAR NONE!!! That song towers head, mullet and shoulders over practically everything else by, oh, at least 7 squidillion miles.....! If this compilation is budget priced, then it's surely worth it for this song alone.

Good line-up! Just compiled a ginormous EIGHTIES SYNTH album on my I-Pod,but couldn't help standing around in HMV today with this album playing.I'd never heard Soul Train by SWANSWAY before and it's been years since I'd heard MOBILES-Drowning In Berlin. Gonna buy it!

It does look like it's the best 80's compilation so far, but how about Killing Joke, The Jam, Fun Boy Three, Icicle Works, Echo & The Bunnymen, Smithereens, House Of Love, etc. *edited a load of rambling bollocks*
