lifts your spirits instantly and takes you right back to good places and good memories - regardless of whatever mood you're in?

I'm not talking New Order here.

Mine is Rock The Casbah by The Clash. No matter what mood I am in and no matter what shit is happening in my life, when I hear this song I am instantly lifted and buzzing! It reminds me of all my footy mates - not just Arsenal, but from footy dos we've had where this comes on and even my most hardened of mates are up and dancing. Well no - not dancing, but jumping up and down screaming loudly, standing on bars and chairs. Also was played at my best mates funeral 2 years ago - this came on, and those in attendance went mental at the post funeral drinks dancing and jumping around. She'd have loved it. Just reminds me of really good and happy times and all my mates.

Just been driving in my car with it in my Cd player - sun shining, Joe and me singing at the top of our voices. How can that not bring a smile to anyone's face?

Who the fuck are Liverpool anyway?

So.............what one song takes you back and brings you the best memories and lifts your mood?

Ha ha ha. I'm glad someone else asked that.

I just know I'm gonna 'poke' that one on the left on Facebook when I'm roaring drunk one night. Even though she looks like a dwarf in that picture. Very nice.

It's great being mates with Bonz and Jem on Facebook - you can just sit and drool over pics of all their mates!

EDIT: To answer the actual question - "Magical Dream" 808 State "Loops of Fury" Chemicals "Getting Up" Pigbag "LFO" LFO "Al Naafyish" Hashim "Meet Sue Be She" Miss Kittin ... and loads of others that'll come to me.

Impossible question.Hundreds of different songs.

Although i've take some sort of perverse pleasure of late from some old Tina Arena song - 'Sorrento Moon' if it ever comes on the radio.Seems to evoke some good memories form around 1996 that i can't quite put my finger on  Yes , what godawful radio station do i listen to?

Or 'I Wouldn't Normally Do This Kind Of Thing' by PSB.Good memories of hanging out in Eilat by the Red Sea late 1993/94

'september' by earth, wind and fire. it reminds me of driving with the windows open and the sun shining.

'margaritaville' by jimmy buffett reminds me of one of my best mates and her 21st birthday party in greenwich village; she's a parrothead and we had the singer do some buffett songs for her. lots of fun and lots of goldschlager!

Or Don Henley ' Boys Of Summer' .Again , another rather naff song but great memoroes of being 16/17, not long left school , young and carefree and not having to care about fuck all. And good times , adventures ahead

And Goldfrapp 'No.1' .Reminds me of great memories of New Order at Brixton Academy Nov 10th 2005

House Of Love 'In A Room' .Great song to drive to, early 90s "I can't slow down/No i can't slow down!"

Rain Drop Keep Falling on My Head.... had a toy wind up transitor radio when I was three with this on it. Everytime I hear it, it reminds me a simpler time when everyone was nice and everything was new and happy.

Anything by the Carpenters reminds me when my family was very close.... miss those days.

some classic reggae from back in the day, the ultra slack dancehall stuff isn't quite as memorable I find.

Book Of Rules by The Heptones....thoughtful lyrics, lovely harmonies, killer bass...what else do you need? :smoking:
