what were you watching in the '80s

what TV shows did you watch in the 1980s?

on television in the wood house, you would find the following:

facts of life, gimme a break, max headroom, 21 jump street, moonlighting, LA law, the cosby show, silver spoons, the hogan family, MASH, battle of the network stars, star search, you can't do that on television, the muppet show, remington steele, hunter, knight rider, st. elsewhere, the one where stars become circus performers, double dare, alice, dukes of hazzard, press your luck, love connection, the $100,000 pyramid, hollywood squares, the wonder years, hart to hart, miami vice, the monkees (played on MTV), cheers, johnny carson, mr. wizard's world, and probably a zillion more.

Lemme see. Dr Who, The Goodies, Countdown, Greatest American Hero, The A Team, Knight Rider, The Love Boat, Fat Albert, etc ect.. . These are just the first few to come to mind, so I could argue that these were the most important ones to me.

crap. i forgot about the love boat, fat albert, the greatest american hero (i had a crush on the guy) and the A team. also mr. belvedere, fantasy island, and the joy of painting(probably the best show ever! 'happy little trees'). there was a serious bob ross cult following.

and Bob Newhart were my faves; I honestly never watched Dallas, Dynasty, etc, and only caught passing episodes of things like Cheers.

loved USA's Night Flight and IRS's The Cutting Edge on MTV, about the only places one could see worthwhile musical acts on a consistent basis, I was quite happy when Night Flight started showing SNUB TV on a regular basis.
