Matthews, Ritchie, Stein or Sheron?

My head says Stan, but my heart says Stein.

WHAT DO OTHER LESBIANS THINK???????????

Easy we only get Letterman. Yes I do know that Carson is long retired and no longer with us, but I only ever saw highlights of his show.

All of them somehow manage to have a bigger ego than Jonathan Ross. That Leno guy in particular has a whiff of the car salesman about him.

Jay Leno is a character. Letterman is so pathetically unfunny that his remarks always make me cringe (worse than him is only Carson Daley).

Johnny Carson? The only thing I know about him is that he was mentioned in "Rapper's Delight" in 1979:

Like John E Carson on his Late Show...

Johnny Carson on that list.

But you forgot to put on Conan O'Brien.... but when he had Andy as a sidekick... now he's just waaaaay too old to be doing the naive-sweet boy jokes anymore... but when he was Andy, I think I enjoyed him over Carson

letterman by a long shot.

Letterman was at his best in the late 80's. Carson was always good. Leno is tops in my book right now - until Conan takes over for him.

I prefer Conan O'Brien.

letterman really hasn't been funny for years. Carson was usually hilarious, and Conan was brilliant during the writer's strike.

yer right. i did forget about conan o'brien. oops. still doesn't change my loyalty to the master, mr. carson!

who can think of ed mc mahon saying 'heeeere's johnny!' without thinking of jack nicholson in the shining?

Carson overall, but Letterman was really really good for a long while. Didn't vote but if I did, it would be for Barth Gimble...:thumb:

Larry Sanders... by a mile.

Conan O'Brien best of the modern era. During the writer's strike he was really funny when he didn't have to do all the cliched staged sets but just winged it.

Letterman has always been rather overrated. Relies totally on routine jokes more than the other hosts. A lousy interviewer who only feels comfortable when he is getting the attention or by being a dickhead. He looks so uncomfortable introducing the music acts it is funny, since he has no interest in music. Letterman used to have the label that his humour was more youthful and cutting edge because he was younger than Carson but his humour has always been bland and mainstream.

Leno is okay and competant, but hardly a major draw.

What about Jimmy Kimmel? He is funny and even likes New Order!

They are all dorks, pretty much. Maybe Carson was the least dorkiest of them all.

Too young for Carson, Leto & Letterman are boring.

Conan destroys all!

He always laughs last. Makes you wonder if he's laughing at the joke or at Jay Leno.

Indeed!
