who do you prefer? i watch the daily show as often as possible, but sometimes i skip over colbert because his act can get a bit annoying after a while. he's still brilliant, though, and i have yet to read 'i am america and so can you.' but based on wit and entertainment, i have to go with jon stewart.

Again, I'm only familiar with The Daily Show.

Hate Colbert (for obvious reasons), and I can like the Daily Show... but sometimes Jon's slant of humour does irritate me. Wish he could be a little more middle-of-the-road when it came to politics... if he were then he would be hilarious.

he's not as biased as you think. stewart rips paul begala and that little shit tucker carlson a new one on crossfire:

Stewart usually, but I rarely get to watch either one (last time I saw Stewart, Musharraf was the guest!)

really liked a young Colbert in the comedy series Exit 57 though!

I love Colbert...

stewart gets too cutesy sometimes, but colbert's humor tends to be a bit more biting.

While Jon does have a similar disdain for the Press as I do (especially Crossfire, I mean who wears a polka dot bow-tie with a checkered shirt!!??), he is definetely left of center. It could be possible that this Republican presidency has more material for him and he would do the same to a Democrat president... but I'll have to watch then to find if that is so....

I know a guy called John Stewart and he's one of the finest men you could ever meet.
