Like Steve Morris said to me (and the rest of the Cornerhouse audience) at the weekend; it's really hard to stop doing music when you've done it all your life.
I mean look at Fat Bob. He's not exactly going to walk into an office and get a job is he?
Even if he had the skills, and if he didn't look like a Sindy Doll that's been left too near the fire, he'd still have the work ethic of a pop star. Pop stars don't get into work at 8am and put in a solid nine hours with a half-hour lunchbreak. They get up at lunchtime and do drugs.
So he has to carry on. They all do. Just ignore it if it upsets you.

Oh i dunno.Bob seems quite adept at the work ethic.Playing one of his 4 hour concerts can't be enjoyable in any way shape or form.He just works at his gigs.He can't enjoy playing all those endless gigs surely? A day in the office would be a walk in the park for him compared to that torture i'd imagine.
I'd swap with him.
I couldn't possibly put into words the hassle I've had today.
Has anyone else had a day of utterhassle?

Funny you should say that actually.I've had possibly one of the worst days at work in my life today
Sorry to hear that Johnny.
I feel bad about complaining about mine now. Today has not been the worse day of my working life.
That was yesterday.
