Actually, my brother had an Atari at one time. It was a helluva fun time playing something so old-school yet so influential to the modern video-game technology we have nowadays.

There was the STE and the STFM. I had the STFM. Built in midi ports which were very useful. Cubase would only work if you had a high-res mono monitor (which I couldn't afford) so I used to run Master Tracks Pro on a big 14 inch coloured telly! Achieved the same final result though.

1MB ( a WHOLE MEGABYTE?????? NO!), STe (named Stella) here.

B+W portable TV running cubase via a "mono emulator". Worked a real treat. Did eventually get given an SM124 monitor. I get the feeling you never came accross the mono-emu, shame :( Still have mine. Used it about 2-3 years ago to diagnose an inferior system, namely a PC.

My version I don't think was Atari and was made around 76??? hooked up to teh TV and it had two sliding controllers and one of them had the serving button... which we always fought over... it was sooooo cool to have the one with the serving button.... was the begining of many fights between me and my sister

Or some Atari stuff was rebadged as Ingersol in the USA, before they started marketing as "ingersol atari" up front.

I've tried to search Google images, but not finding it. Its not either of those you stated either. It had two seperate controlers of a really light tan, orange rectangular knobs that slide up and down (not the round, spinning knobs like all the other controllers have) and one had an orange 'serve' button. There was also a dark brown metal plate on the face. Each controller was about 4" x 10" maybe? Can't remember if they plugged into a larger box, but don't remember any box...... All the games were in black and white, and had 4-6 different pong games on it.... dammit, now this is really bugging me.... I'll probably be up all night trying to find a picture of one..... thanks ALOT!

Took me, aged 5-7, about 30secs to figure out how it worked and impress parents, called into the room to see 30/30 on the screen.....notched up by pointing the gun out the window. TimeLord children....devious wee cunts.
