Is it that time of year again?

National humilation awaits again, but I for one am actually going to watch some of the songs this year, instead of just the scores coming in while Wogan complains about how corrupt everything is. Everyone needs to keep an eye out for the Croatia entry, which is apparently a 75 Year old rapper called... 75 Cent!

Looking forward to a night in with Wogan and his sarcastic remarks. If Wogan ever retires, they should just stop Eurovision, because it will be a huge crock of shit with someone like Fearne Cotton doing the commentary for us.

Of course, it will never reach the same hilarity levels as when Lordi won it. They played Manchester the same day as the Wolverhampton gig, i think I made the wrong decision to go to Wolverhampton.

Isn't it Serbia this year?

I have friends who turn this into an event every year

(Admittedly, if I'm in, it's on)

Well I'm not really turing it into an event, but if it's on, I watch it (with my Mum). I'm not at home this time  (maybe I'm back when the points are spread).

Btw. I hope France wins. Nice song. The French hate it because it's in english. So I hope it wins. Sorry french NOOLers, but who cares about the french language anyway?

But Serbia won last year. How come it's not there.

Serbia did win it last year. Hence why they host it this time. Ketchup.

Im goign to a Eurovision Party. As long as theres drink I dont mind. Its quite a hoot, listening to all the tosh, Wogans put downs. But it does over-run (by about 3 hours) and the voting is so annoyingly fixed.

Hopefully, I'll be watching Ricky Hatton.

Es ist wahr!

Der letzte Monat war ich am Sébastien Telliers Konzert und Divine war das schlechtste Lied... Und ich hasse, wenn er auf Englische singt... natürlich...

been out drinking earlier but i saw the last 30 mins. colin was right,it was belgrade we came last again. but joint last because the polish have now found out the downside of being roped in with us. if the runner up in a british singing event ( which a woman winner has become massive in america ) cant do anything then we are fucked. i said years ago we should enter a top name, abba were big in sweden before eurovision. so i.e.in the 80's QUEEN outsold anyone in europe.so why didnt we ask queen to go into the eurovision?

anyway

no one likes us,no one likes us but we dont care

The solution is : Make Edinburgh, Belfast and Cardiff vote. 3*12=36 points easily.

Another solution would have been : UK as a former Yugoslavian republic. UK as a former USSR republic...

or maybe make england a republic might be interesting :hat:

We couldn't let Her Majesty do it. Just imagine the security implications. And what would Dodgy Phil The Greek do? Play keyboards and dance like Gillian? :\ohwell:

Since only Engerland cares, it's always English entrants, so Belfast+Cardiff+Edinburgh= 0 Points.

Apart from when we won it with a Canadian.

I dont think anyone cares really. I only watch it to listen to Wogan get progressively more drunk as the night goes on. Everytime I've watched it with anyone, we've all wanted to the UK to get Nil point. We didnt tonight, but we did come joint last, so thats something.

yea joint last with poland !! they must be wondering why they have come here.we are a death wish eurovision wise

Thw whole thing was worth it for Spain's entry alone. Paul Whitehouse should have got all the credit had it won!

I agree with Liam - I only watch it for Wogan. His comments are brilliant. When he decides not to do it any more, will many people continue to watch?

Yihaa!! Last place again! Not that I expected something better :evil4: .

Well, why do we still watch this east-european-only contest? Why not give it completely to former Jugoslavia and former Russia? That would spare a lot of disappointment.

Ive been repeatedly watching that one on youtube. "quattro, Robocop". Funny as, had us in stitches.

Total rip of of Macarina mind. And the Russian winner song sounds like Toni Braxton (Unbreak My Break).

The UK shoudl withdraw its participation now. Its just beyond a joke with all the vote rigging.

No offence, but Eurovision has always been crap. Because in the end, it's not national cultures that win but rather Anglo-American music styles that are employed by the performers.

Yeah I don't want to have my TV-fee spent on that event any more, too. We over here are sponsoring that crap with 500.000 Euro every year. I'll never watch that again (O.K., I'm saying that every year :evil4: ).
