Thats really sad ... He was a master bass player ... Pinball Wizard is one of my all time fav songs ...
This morning I got up and just threw on my Who t-shirt cos it was the first one on the pile of clothing in my room. Then, checking my e-mail, I saw the little item in Yahoo news and couldn't believe it. RIP John, you will be missed....

I saw it on Yahoo to. What was weird was that I was reading this big story about The Who on the net talking about their big US tour and how they were planning on recording a new studio album at the end of the year (here was me getting all excited). The next page I go to is Yahoo and I see the headline and I was in shock. Like "FUCK !!" ... Here is me getting all excited about The Who and 10 seconds later I find out that John is dead ... Weird ...
Did you ever meet any other STARS like yourself MICHAEL? I once saw ALBERT TATLOCK of old CORRIE fame in AUSTRIA. TR
Originally posted by Michael Knight I have a friend who thinks he's Scottish - you all know him it's Shug, that is why the e-mail address is his - he posts here quite a lot - he's a bit mad, I met him through football - he's a big Celtic fan - I support Middlesborough, we meet up for games every now and then - he's been to a few Boro games, but funnily enough he never mentions it because one of his pals has a season ticket! He'll piss himself when he see's my name - where is he anyway?

Kev - on this side of the fence you must stay ON TOPIC :D or you'll get a skelp - I knew you'd mention the Boro - please post football stuff "Behind Closed Doors" ;) I like a lot of The Who's stuff - if I was to remember one thing it'd have to be My Generation - sorry for being boring, but it IS a classic
God Bless the big JE

Hooky had 'BYE BYE THE OX' on his speakers at Roskilde and dedicated 'SLC' (I think?) to said Ox.
