The greatest man who has ever lived, the mighty Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, returns to our screen tonight for another glorious series of River Cottage.

Will anyone else be watching? I cant wait, I've got all his books, its going to be so so great.

9pm Channel 4. Miss it. Miss out.

Is this a return to basics? i.e. actually going back to River Cottage? That last thing he did - Beyond RC, was it? - where he drove around in a campervan was a bit pointless. Looked like he was jumping on the bandwagon somewhat.

TV Dinners will always be his finest moment, however. There was many a meal totally outta the ordinary on there, the placenta episode being the pick of the bunch.

Its called River Cottage Spring. i dont know exactly what its about but there's a bit on it tonight where he converts a vegetarian to a carnivore by teaching them the basics of butchery.

Didn't think he was too bad when he sang for Cud, can't do with his presenting though.

I think you mean the film "The Cottage". A so so horror film released a few months back.

For once I'm 100% in concurrence with Liam. Hugh is a Leg End.

Missed the last couple of series though. Must seek torrents.

I admit I wouldn't touch half the shit he cooks with a barge pole, but some of it also looks delicious, and I find the process fascinating, even for the stuff I wouldn't eat.

Really enjoy his shows.

Actually Liam, I was chatting about fishing in central London last night and remembered seeing a programme where someone fished successfully in the hot water outfall of a power station (I could swear they said Battersea, but surely that's just a shell these days), BUT, I can't remember if it was John Wilson, or Hugh, or someone else. Can't help thinking it was Cook on the Wildside, the one where he hangs out with the bindippers. Does that ring a bell?
