INDIANA JONES

Anyone been to see it yet? Saw it yesterday, it's been getting a panning lately,but it was still a good addition to the series. Harrison still holds his own.

There are still some of Spielberg's flashes of brilliance in there,and there's the same humour in thee too,often at the expense of Harrison's age. "What are you...about 80 or something?" My only misgiving is basically the same as what was wrong with 007 DIE ANOTHER DAY. A series of films that you would normaly associate with stuntwork,suddenly replaced with CGI,doesn't cut it. It doesn't completely ruin this one,because "Harrison" is still up there swinging on ropes/whips. All set in the 50s this time: 50's Commie paranoia,atomic bomb testing,Shia LeBeouf sporting Marlon Brando's WILD ONE get-up and a DA haircut (Ducks Arse).

And to tie it to the rest of the series,there's a glimpse of the Ark Of The Covenant! And Marion returns. Not quite a spoiler,because she's on the poster.

it's alright. it wasn't what i thought it would be (story lines). it's a mix bag.

but, that's just my opinion. :D

it was boring, bland and just plodded along, Even temple of doom was better.

Stupid story and Stupid Ending, thought i was watching x-files the movie for 20 mins, saw it night it came out, only just now got over the trauma and been able to write something.

Speilberg and Lucas should be disgusted with themselves for digging up another Fanchise and tarnishing its glory with a lack luster effort.

That WAS a great bit. The money shot where he's silhouetted against the big mushroom cloud. Though staring at it,he should have spent the rest of the film with a guide dog.

took the family and friends,, realy enjoyed it,, mrs order said it was so,so .. but then she says that about everything i like,,, kids enjoyed it..though think it should end there..

Anecdote:

The locals in Wadi Rum (Jordan) had 2 movies on VHS. "Indy 3" and "Lawrence of Arabia". The Lawrence-movie was shot in Wadi Rum. And Petra isn't that far. We had to watch both movies with them :) . But I was tired as hell and didn't get through "Indy 3".

It wasn't so bad, it's probably rated third out of the four. Nothing is worse than Temple of Doom, not even the monkey scene dropped it to that level. Karen Allen kicks ass.

saw it a couple of weeks ago, i liked the last crusade much better. its not that bad thou...

The "original" movies bored be to death anyway, beacuse like star wars, they are for people who have no brain.

Can't imagine I'd even waste the bandwidth downloading it.

It is kinda mediocre, not horrible, not great. If Indiana Jones is suppossed to be 60, they certainly made no attempt to tone done the exaggerated physical action.

The cast was okay but the story was mostly going thru the motions in most parts. As is typical now, the CGI action is way over the top it makes you numb, but not nearly as boring as other recent movies. The ending is not just extra-sensory, not just extra-terrestrial, but even cross-dimensional... what little sense they had foreshadowed crudely in the story they basically ended in who-gives-a-fuck mode.

There has got to be a swing towards the subtle in movies... how can they just keep stepping up the action? Meaningless action just gets mind numbing and boring as hell ironically. Why would people want a movie to be like a video game when you can play a video game and have fun doing it?

Because big Hollywood movies are made to BECOME video games. It's all about the synergy.
