No Buys.

When i was in first year of high school, we had a substiture RE teacher who said the world would end when all these undiscovered tribes had access to the bible. so this is another step on the way to the apocalypse.

Did anybody see a HD documentary from BBC/Discovery Travel channels? It was called Living With the "Kumbai"(?) Tribe or something like that. Was edited to be like a reality show with two English guys trying to live with an almost totally isolated primitive tribe in the rainforest in Papua New Guinea.

These Papua New Guinea aboriginal people who were descended from the original migrations of the human species had no writing, no rocks or metal just plants and sand, virtually no clothes, almost no posessions. They used dog teeth as the only thing that resembled currency. Pigs were their only luxury item of value, the only decent source of protein available. Their treat was large beetle grubs. Almost none of the plants were edible, no farming. Their lives were horrible by Western standards. Westerners think if you are outside working all day long with no access to refined sugars, fried food, alcohol or pigging out on animal flesh you would be in great shape, no TV, the ideal natural life, but these adults looked very unhealthy and kinda malnourished sickly. And while it was mostly peaceful there was some pretty extreme violence it seemed.

... but what was interesting was that their lives were the same as other humans in the end. Same worries about supporting yourself and family, same laughs, same sexual politics, same bullshit between people in society, same thing with irrational religions breeding hatred and ignorance.

Is it paradise or hell? At least in the modern world people have some options, but then the primitve culture dies so that option is lost.
