Has everyone else given up on this now?

Thought this was the weakest finale of the lot, and am not entirely convinced it keeps you wanting for more from the next series.

Just dropping the name 'Jeremy Bentham' into the mix right at the start of the end seemed a cheap trick. I spent the next 1hr20mins wondering if I should already know who he was?

Nice to see Jack had lost it soooo bad he'd started listening to Pixies at very high volume!

Thing is with this show, they try and raise the tension to such a degree that you wonder what the fcuk is gonna happen next ... and then they go and sort it out with a 'little bit of magic' instead! Cheating bastards.

Still, nice to see Penny back again. :food:

At the end of the day, it's just pure entertainment. I'm not expecting any answers. Last night's seemed just a bit too random, however. They're treading a fine like towards farce.

Isn't this just like "Twin Peaks"?* Great-looking cast... somewhat off-kilter and a little bit kooky....fantastic for a season or so....but then plot becomes aimless, weird-for-weird's sake....fans feel like producers are taking the piss....cancellation imminent...???

Been saying all along it's a shaggy dog story, always suggesting some massive explanation is just around the corner, yet avoiding it at every turn.

Still, if it's fun to watch and full of top notch mat, I see no problems. Just not for me.

I really enjoyed the first series of Lost, but into the second series I started to bore of the fact that instead of tying up a few of the loose ends, it just created more.

I'm completely bored of it now.

I don't know, still enjoying it quite abit. Was not the strongest finale, but the story has an end in a couple years... so it won't go on forever. If I didn't know this I probably would have been turned off by it.

The idea of the cashmir effect finally was stated though, which finalizes alot of questions. The one corny part was when Ben turned the wheel to move the island... I have a really bad feeling that the island is a crashed spaceship or something, maybe a promotional show for T. Cruise and dianetics... if it turns into that, then I'll probbably stop watching....

I actually enjoyed it. The only thing that annoyed me was they didnt show what had happenned to the people on the raft between the boat blowing up and the island vanishing.

I really enjoyed the Ben/Locke dynamic this series.

I'm looking forward to finding out:

Why they have to go back. What happenned to Claire. How Locke leads the Others and why he leaves the island. Why are Ben and Sayid working together.

I was expecting this, did you notice how all of those getting in the boat were extras? Where the hell did a bunch of people I never saw come from?

God knows why but i still make the effort to download the torrent of each episode since Virgin lost the fight with Sky.Haven't downloaded the finale to this series yet but have seen up to episode 12.It is taking the piss a bit though yeah.So in series 5 do the baddies on the "rescue" ship turn out to be goodies trying to save the survivors from yet another set of baddies who will then turn out to be goodies trying to save the survivors from the next set of baddies etc etc ad infinitum?...

I'm also curious to see how Jin managed to save himself from the explosion... (since we saw him on a flash forward once)

And if Michael "I can't kill myself" is dead...

That wasnt a flash forward. I dont think. Jin was working for Paik Industries.

I started to wonder if they were in the same time, and it would match the time travelling concept.

But then again, we have 2 years before understanding everything...

The pilot 2 hour episode at the start of series one was brilliant. The whole of series one was pretty good. Saw 1st episode of series 2 and was bored, so gave up.

The shows got a nice premise but its just too random and obviously made up as it goes along. What ever happened to the polar bears? The back stories were good for a while but then got dull. I think if they had stuck to one series and tied up loose ends as it went (or explained it all at the end) it would have been a triffic show.

As it is Ive concluded its called "Lost" as in "lost the plot".

I hear Heroes is a really good show but as it was billed as the new "Lost" I gave it a wide birth. Shame.

That's the problem with the show though. You got to store a few episodes up and watch them in one hit. I think episodes sway from the sublime to the ridiculous and you get the old really duff borefest along the way.

It had its up and downs... but I always kept interest.

I just don't know the point of introducing a whole crew in season two to make them all die one after one (except Bernard)

That was a waste of time.

Though Hugo play cards with Mr Ecko it seems.

There was a glitch on the torrent I watched and it skipped 2secs at this point so wondered if this bit was significant?

ok, now go back and watch that pilot episode again. the answers to the entire show are there,note hurley sitting down on the plane,he opens up a comic book. the island is on the cover complete with shield,as are the polar bears and various other bits n bobs that have shown up along the way,most notably "jacob" you will glimpse a creature led on a table with a giant head and only 4 toes (the statue on the island has 4 toes),along with what look like shadows of people in glass tubes. so im afraid it is lookin likes aliens afterall lol.

Same here! I've liked this series as much as the others.I never get tired of LOST because although it shares a little of X Files in that yeah-we'll-make-this-up-as-we-go, it still captivates you,and the characters are good.You can't beat a bit of sci-fi! And still never fails to surprise,even in the last reveal...

Ben's got Sayid under his wing doing exactly what he wants...offing Penny's Dad's consorts.Can't remember which episode in Season 4 it was,but it was at Sayid's wife's funeral,that Ben turned up with a photo of the "man who killed his wife"...Sayid's first hit. I wouldn't be surprised if Ben was the one who REALLY killed Sayid's wife.

Want to know how long before we find out how Ben intends to get back to the island,how he got off the island...and..err..where is the island? Oh and what happened to "Jeremy"?
