Anyone ever seen her live?

I saw her on the South Bank last night.

Now, usually I'd balk at the thought of a sixty-year-old skipping around in nothing but a basque and fcuk-off stilettos but she has got SUCH a body on her. Not bad for a bird who qualifies for a free bus-pass.

Utterly bonkers, but very warm and funny and not the ice-maiden I'd expected. Total diva though, changed her headgear between every song and for the opener wore a pair of heels so high she couldn't get down a raised platform in 'em so had to come down on her arse instead.

Oh, and she can actually sing a bit too.

Those legs though!

I still remember those Renault 5 adverts where the car drives out of her mouth!

Love the song, "Slave To The Rhythm", though! :thumb:

That was the last song of the night.

Didn't do "She's/I've Lost Control" though alas :(

She had a stage invasion during "Pull up to the Bumper" though most of the crowd sensibly kept out of her way once up there. One girl tried to hug her and she told her in no uncertain terms she could flatten her if she wanted to, summat like that anyways.

Saw her at the Barrowlands in 2003 as part of the Tryptych festival. Sly and Robbie were supporting her and then joined her on stage for half her set.

She was class. Her version of 'La Vie En Rose' is one of my favourite records of all time. My lasting memory of that gig however is that towards the end of the show, when she'd stripped down to nothing except this black body stocking type thing, she did a classic footballers 'finger to one nostril' and blew a massive greener onto the floor! Dirty bitch.
