They are ace. Remember seeing them for the first time at Derby Werehouse (sic?) circa 1993. They were drunker than the audience and looked like they'd been sleeping in the same clothes for a week. I was instantly smitten, natch.
I swear on Banshee's Bin Laden mask that they are the best British band of the last 15 years. Anyone who thinks otherwise is a twat, obviously.
lovely lovely lovely.
i have a beautiful 'bathtime' framed poster. in my bathroom, of course.
Best fucking band in the world![]()
Made some remarks about them earlier on this forum.
Great, great stuff they make![]()

Are you serious, Dave? They're from fucking Nottingham. I can't think of a more British-sounding band....

think i have an album of theirs somewhere but not listened to them a lot, lumped them in with slowcore bands like red house painters tbh. did give a few tracks a spin today & they do not sound that british to me.
I know what you mean Hibster the singer does sound American sometimes. They are excellent..they're one of those bands that don't sell albums in millions and seem to be limted to a sort of cult status.
God almighty - they are the sound of drizzle splattering against dirty windows, shitty fucking Midlands towns, drinking yourself into oblivion at 1.30 on a cold Tuesday afternoon.....

They're playing Manchester Cathedral in March. For anyone who doesn't know them, they're that kind of band (and, obviously, you're also a fucking idiot for not knowing about the best British band of the last twenty years).
I love them, but they make me woozy and maudlin. This this is also the state of mind that makes me want to have rough, desperate sex up against walls in gloomy side streets. So, if anyone wants to meet up.....
