Does anyone have a photo of Chris Urbanowicz from Editors playing a green Rickenbacker?

It's got to be actual green, mind, not just green-looking on account of the certain lighting conditions.

£40 to the first one to come up with a good picture.

Black and white pictures will not be accepted.

And no photoshopping :nono:

I'm pretty sure no such picture exists. I did a search and it seems he's only got one guitar and it's black.

And the reason you need this picture is...?

If I can prove that the guitar he played at Rock Ness is green I will win the argument about whether Editors are any good live.

Looks black to me, unless the light catches it, and it might be a loose green, due to a reflection.

A fellow NOOLer, with a bit of a reputation for pedantry, is using my belief that the guitar was green to undermine my assertion that their winy, monotonous performance at Rock Ness wasn't that good.

Couldn't a few of you just pretend it was green?

Just for me?

They're just pictures of him playing a black guitar.

That doesn't prove that he's not also got a green one, which he played at Rock Ness.

Thanks for everyone's help in clearing that up.

col - he does also have a fender jazzmaster, which he uses for recording purposes only these days.

if you go to editors forum thre is a thread of pictures of chris & there are none of him using a green rick. just his black one.

ipso facto he was playing his black guitar, that may have appeared green to you dur to reflections of lights on the stage

It certainly looks black in the performance that Bert posted! :p

The best way of seeing the guitar in detail was on the big screen next to the stage. The colour balance on there may have been faulty.

I'll contact the people who supplied the screen and obtain copies of their test certificates.

Ipso facto indeed. You're not on a stag night you know.

i see, so your stated fact that it was green was based on watching it on a big screen, rather than "live".

well, your case is just getting stronger isn't it....

At the time I was going to bed, but forgot to put the sheets in the dryer, so needed something to do to kill the time....

Any Colour You Like...

Green isn't a standard colour for the 620. He must have ordered it to be custom-made.
