great decision, let's not use one of the best tracks in the world any more, with it's exciting corners & excellent racing & popularity amongst the drivers. ![]()

Bernie wants fucking killing.
Wanker.
Donnington's a great track for tin-tops and GT's, but unless you're name is Ayrton Senna De Silva, you aint overtaking round there in a GP car.
Gutted, once Melbourne is over, I litterally start salivating at the thought of July. Copse, Maggots, Becketts, Stowe, Vale, Bridge, Woodcote, it's fucking BLISS I tell you. And the cars make a better noise at Copse that anywhere on Earth except maybe through pouhen at Spa.
Dear Mr Ecclestone, drop dead.
didnt they pay the rent again?
OR was it because Silverstone wont invest the millions that that short arsed little gimp wants?![]()

It's a good circuit for spectators, from the infield grandstands along the main straight you can see a good 75% of the lap.
As Steve alluded to, here is Ayrton Senna overtaking four cars on the first lap in 1993:
Between this news and DC retiring, what a shitty week for F1.
AND, WTF was that all about in qually today?
France: Heike drives off the road to let a Red Bull/Toro Rosso through, and still gets a grid penalty.
Britain: Massa (or was it kimbot?) is going through Bridge at about fuckin 70mph, fannying about with his wheel, and a Williams, or Beamer has to take avoiding action.....no penalty given.
It used to be funny, but now I'm thinking "just give Ferrari the trophy now and we can all watch A1GP for the rest of the year".
Getting as bad as boxing or footy.
Sorry it's taken so long for me to post my thoughts but I think it's a bad idea. For me, it's nearly as bad as the news that the MotoGP coverage is being taken off Eurosport from next year and being given to the crappy BBC instead (bike fans of NOOL, I suggest you watch the two and then compare and contrast). Whichever morons at Dorna (the promoters) made that decision want sacked as far as I'm concerned. Idiots! ![]()

The only good thing about the BBC coverage is Charlie Cox. Of course he's a tin-top racer and knows nothing about bikes, but Steve Parish keeps him straight. The rest of their package is total pants. And besides, I want Charlie on the F1.
My favourite Coxisms.......
"Plato needs this like he needs a third armpit".
"First Menu, Second Reid, Third....daylight".
And his (totally justified) refering to all BTCC drivers as "a bunch of crazed axe murderers". (five mins watching ToCA will explain all if you've never watched it). Not enjoyed the BTCC half as much on ITV without Charlie (and of course our lad John Watson). Also ITV now have the rights to the whole ToCA Tour programme.....but when motorstv had it, they went on air at 8am with the first F Ford races and stayed on until the historic GT's finished at about 9pm, wonderful.....but ITV only go on air before the first BTCC race, stay on for the Ginettas and F renaults and Clio's and Seats and the Porker Supercup[1], then piss off after the 3rd and final BTCC accide.....I mean race.
This Donnington business is bollox, no less so than the deal the Grand Nagus zEcclestone signed with that awful Fulston women to go to Brands Hatch from 2000 onwards.....silly bitch had no planning permission, and guess what, neither does Donnington (and at least BH had some grandstands). Trouble is, CuntyBallix is saying that if Donnington fail.....that's it.....no more Brit GP.
Now, what was all that crap obersturmbahnfurher Moseley was spouting about it being the FIA's duty to stop all the races going to weird countries and to protect "traditional" venues......How can he allow Silverstone to go? How can ANY track be more "traditional" than the one that hosted the first ever F1 W/C round in 1950. Nazi wanker.
[1] Surely they need to ban the beetle races (call them porche 911 if you must, but it's still a £100K beetle).....they fucking trash every circuit they race on, even the world version knackers circuits 3 hours before people have to drive F1 cars on them.
You know, my love for cars and good racing (NASCAR is shite), you'd think I'd be a big fan... but I never see any coverage here... anyone know who covers Grand Prix in the States? I think I seriously need to start following this....
