BTW, three things happen before a population collapses due to overbreeding.........
- Homosexuality increases in both sexes. Check!
- Infertility increases in both sexes. Check!

Generally what tends to happen is the most fertile years will correlate with the period when ones looks and reproductive fitness are also at a similar level. However, depending whether an individual is in good health or not the decline will vary. Plus of course there isnt a male menopause so cases like the one where Des o Conner conceived at 72 do happen occassionally, as revolting as that may seem.
Someone I know fell twice whilst on the pill,allegedly. So the lesson to be learned is...Don't nut-up in em.Sorted.

I did look up the studies in it, so I am satisfied it's true.
Obviously human population has never YET reached that tipping point, but plenty of other animal species have been through this exact sequence.
