Dropped £15 on a cross channel fruit machine in 1979,I was taking £50 spend for a week skiing trip so it was quite a lot.

Ticket to New Order at SECC in 1989, already had a ticket, sold it for a fiver.

I won off XFM a SONY midi hifi with DAB,and a SONY BRAVIA 20" LCD TV,i think in total worth about £400.Flogged the hifi but kept the Bravia for the computer to watch LOST in HD!

i won 300 pound when blackburn won the premier league title,it was a double with shearer to be top league scorer. at a sportsmans dinner i won a weekend AWAY at a posh hotel.from my house the hotel was only 2 miles AWAY

most i've won was on the football, last season united vs villa.... united to win 4-1 with rooney scoring first at 55/1

however i will never forget my ridiculous accumulator that almost netted me 10k i predicted 9 results correct and would have won 10k if it wasn't for the allardyce era newcastle getting trounced at home by portsmouth and i only put it on for a laugh! 10 fucking grand!

can't remember the exact dollar amount, but the money won from betting on the horses at the state fair on my 21st birthday fuelled a pretty good stretch of parties for my friends and I.

I walked into the bookies on New Years Day, placed a £10 bet on a horse with the same name as my road (it was called Queens G) and walked out over £300 better off. This is my best win.

I was once standing in a pub with a bloke who won over five grand on two £20 three-dog accumulators. He placed the second one when he was in collecting his winnings from the first and by the time he'd got back to the pub the results had cone in and he walked straigh back to collect on the second. We tried to work out the chances of this happening but, as you can imagine, we were far too pissed.
