The Whip - Blackout

NOOL favourite the Whip release their new single is out now.

If you've already got it on the album, it's worth checking out the remixes too... Graham '808 State' Massey, Ashley Beedle, Shinichi Osawa and Popular Computer...

Why are they singing about a black cow with the lights out? Some sort of beastialty thing or something?

The first three seconds are great, that wee 808 loop is VERY reminiscent of the intro to M/A/R/R/S 'Pump Up The Volume'. It's all downhill from there though. Yet another clumsy marriage of shouty vocals, loud guitars and dance 'beats'. Do we need a Paris Angels for the new millenium?????
