27 More Winehouse-Free Months

Winehouse's husband has been handed a 27 month sentence for fighting and cheating at getting arrested. Whilst clearly over the moon at the prospect of another couple of years without having to look at his wife's dumb face, he asked the court for a longer sentence. The judge refused, saying that if he wanted to stay longer than that he would have to behave himself and sew loads of mailbags.

I dont get the early release scheme, i know if on good behaviour that the person prison setence is halved, but take away the 9 months already served, plus half it again? just silly
