I am on the lookout for a freeware or, err, well just free copy of a CAD package for garden designers. Aparently there are loads of these things around, but they cost a fortune. Any of them would do.

Can anyone help?

try sourceforge.net for a free one (most stuff there is naturally for Linux, but there are plenty of apps for LoseDos as well).

If not, might I recommend demonoid.com or the pirate bay.

Well, one of the programs here might suit what you want to do...?

As for how to download them without paying (!), I normally go via Newsgroups (only lucky if that gets posted at the time you search), but yeah, Limewire (or some other such service) will do the job just as well.

Why don't they just call that site "come here and get a fucking adware virus shit cockbox on your computer that takes ages to get rid of and fucking shit bastard wank cunt"?

"Limewire" doesn't really convey what it's all about.

Yes, indeed - Limewire might, however, have been one of those ones that fell by the wayside last year due to the Music Industry taking legal action against them? And, hence, replaced by an adware virus shit cockbox! :p

Those who grab software illegally on a regular basis might have more than an idea than me... :)

No it's just that people are hostnig things which look like the thing you are looking for but which turn out to be cockboxes. The file size should have given it away - about 1Mb, much smaller than a cad package would be - but I didn't think of that.

My virus checker caught it after it had started installing, which was helpful, and then everything went spazz with adverts and pop-ups. A complete sweep with two virus checkers and Ad-Aware only caught one thing so I reckon I might have got away with it.

Serves me right I suppose.

Try a "reputable" torrent site, at least one with fora where you can read the comments on said download (ignore the legions of 14 year old american muppets claiming everything doesn't work because there was nobody to read the readme to them).

or stay legal, stay FREE
