I'll B there, alot of people are staying in one of the budget hotels. I can't remember whether its an Ibis or a travel lodge but there's a fair few people coming up I think.

we looked at coming out...but alas, the finances just weren't in order...if we could have got the same prices for airfare as I did for London, we would have been there...but it's a tad bit more expensive to fly into Manc...and we just couldn't swing it...

believe me, I wish we could get there...just to see all the onliners again...and to see if Shuggy could help me get in the midst of the madness one more time...and to see the order in the hometown, it would have been something special!

Mancland's not a million miles away from London, Monkster, at least not by American standards. Why not fly into London, then grab a train, or blag a lift (off the likes of me, probably?).

A lad from the Ceremony list called George Saunders organised a drink-up in Dry just before the Apollo 98 gig. What got me was that he'd never even been to England, let alone Mancland before! Just breezed into Heathrow from LA, train'ed it up to Mancland and sat outside Dry in a UCLA baseball cap waiting for people to go, "Hello, are you George?". Top fella.

Dukes 92 is in Castlefield, down by the canal. Nice big pub with beer garden bit, which will be useful if the weather is good (wishful thinking). There are a few other nice pubs around there too - just no jumping in the canal after a few too many shandies! ;)

It's all coming back to me now. I knew it had a number in it (92) and was in an area beginning with 'C'.

Yes, Kezzie, think the plan was being mooted in the vain hope it might be 'sunny'. Guess a re-think might be 'in order' if it's pissing down. It's Manchester, with a 'Y' in the day of the week, so I guess it will be ... pissing ... down. Sadly.
