My Snowden thread a few months ago was better. It included the video and everything! As for Wetherspoons.Don't knock it.We had a great Sunday roast including a pint for £5.59 when we got back from Blackpool this afternoon.Stuffed i was.And it's not like i hadn't eaten today. The breakfast at the B&B was ace this morning.South Villas on Wellington road near The Manchester pub run by a great woman called Fiona. She's actually form Coventry but we forgave her that.Although we had to do a runner straight after brekkie because the Freddie Flintoff lookalike in our group was very nawty in the B&B over the road. The American landlord was threataning to race to Blackpool North station with the fuzz to collar us but the train pulled away before he reached the paltform:rofl:

Johnny you little tinker!

I did a runner from a Blackpool B&B once, next to the football ground. My friend and I had been raving in Sequins and decided that the hotel was crap and we were bored on our own and wanted to head home to our other halves (who were having a party).

We were sneaking out very quietly when my friend slipped on the top step and boom-boom-boomed all the way down the stairs. You could hear lights being switched on in every room so we just pegged it. We hadn't slept there so it's not officially a runner, but still.

Sequins!!!! I remember that place!1991 ish we would always go there if we were in Blackpool! What is it now? Is it still a club?

God knows, I keep forgetting which building it is as there are several on a corner that look the same. We used to go to the Zone too, but I much preferred Sequins.

I was telling my friend a story when I was working behind a bar, and this old man was listening in. Part of the story was "So, I was in Sequins, dancing..."

To which the old man piped up, "Oooh I can do Sequence Dancing!"

Bless

Aye i seem to recall it being on one of the corners along the front.A bit like how the Manchester pub is on that corner. There's a Mcdonalds on one corner exactly like how the Manchester is and when yer pissed heading that way i always mistake it.That's possibly where Sequins used to be although maybe not as it's quite small:scratch:

When Electronic's first album came out we drove up and down Blackpool front blasting out Reality, Gangster, Try All You Want etc... Oh dear, the follies of our youth:nonono:

One of the lads with us paid for both nights at the B&B but didn't sleep a wink in his room either night. He turned up on Saturday morning claiming to have slept the night at Blackpool zoo :wtf: When did Blackpool ever have a fucking Zoo? Mind you, it does have an Airport which is pretty strange to say the least so anything's possible i suppose

Blackpool does indeed have a Zoo, although I have never been. Probably pointless going as most of the animals are in the bars on the seafront on any given night.

I was supposed to be in Blackpool last weekend for a friends 40th. I cried off at the last minute due to funds.

I used to love it there. It's a bit of a tip, but for entertainment you can't beat it.

My friend was there last night watching Jimmy Carr and said they're building some 'steps like an ampitheatre on the front'. Do you know what she means?

Jimmy Carr was on there last night? Bugger , wouldn't have minded seein him.

Yeah someone was on about the steps down to the beach or something. They are doing summat with them yeah but we didn't take a closer look. They're smartening it up a bit along there. Some of the old railings and stuff are so old and rusty it's a disgrace. The place does need a lot of investment in certain areas.A lot of the buildings along the front are so old ,tatty and dated now.

I remember being really disappointed when they lost the Casino Development. If Blackpool has a big money injection they could really do something with the place. As our main beach resort it's a shame it's so shabby.

It makes me wonder though how low income families can afford to holiday there. A week in Blackpool must cost a great deal more than Spain.

My friend said he was good, but very blue and very politically incorrect, which surprised me to be honest.
