Those of you with long memories may remember i bought Miss Hac a bass for xmas the other year. She has stuck at it and now plays in a couple of bands. Its coming up to her 18th and she has requested a new bass, the one she wants is this :

Are these any good?
They're not bad, I picked one up once just to see myself with a pink bass (!), pretty playable and with a good low end. Wouldn't buy one myself, they don't do them in black!

Short neck with an aluminium topnut and matt lipstick pickups - what more does a man need? Nothing, that's what.
Err, it wasn't pink though. Or a bass.

Nice lookin bass BTW, twin 'buckers is always a winner, I fookin hate Pbass pickups, the always sound lifeless as fuck.

i read a really interesting book this week called 'how to be free' by tom hodgkinson, in which playing a ukulele is one of his suggested steps to freedom. i can't quite remember the reasoning for this off the top of my head, but he was most insistent about it.
labi siffre's original version of 'it must be love' had a ukulele, didn't it?
erm...and where is the fifth string? Thought it was standard today, or not...
