My mate H (who a lot of people here have met) got his nickname from Harry Cross. He's a short, broad black lad but we nicknamed him H after Harry cos H also had a lodger back in the 80's who he was a complete c--- to, just like Harry Cross was to Ralph!

True story that.

Harry Cross is defo up there with the best of them. Preferred Terry to Barry if I'm being honest. Tommy McArdle, class villain. Karen Grant for a bit of stowdent fanny. Sammy Rogers for a bit of plump young totty. God, there's loads.

That bird Sue who shagged both Tezza and Bazza was a near neighbour of mine in Crouch End. You still would. :food:

Ralph!! forgot bout him.He was a star!

I used to have a bit of a thing for that bird Max was with.Or did he marry her? Patricia was it? Blonde one, Samantha?

There was top women in it over the years.Lisa Faulkner even it at one time.Never was a big fan of Jennifer Ellison though.Way overrated in my opinion

The Tommy Mcardle plot when whatsisname nearly got banged up for being the getaway driver was one of the big storylines i remember.

EDIT: I've got that wrong actually.Billy Corkhill was a getaway in another diffrent storyline. The Tommy McCardle one was when that other character innocently and naively gave him directions and information in the pub and unwittingly got involved.

I'd forgotten there was that Alan Partridge bloke who i think lived in one of the bungalows.Of course NOT the A-HA! Alan Partridge:laugh:

Was the best soap on the box in it's day.

1 Barry Grant 2 Jimmy Corkhill 3 Harry Cross

Had a thing for Amanda Burton at the time, also the Canadian lass who went with Jonathan was rather tasty. :food:

ah right thanks Minx.Recall who you mean now. That was Max's original Mrs i remember now.Samantha was his bit on the side who he evntually married only to later, allegedly, push down the stairs and kill , right?

Actually a mate of mine once saw Patricia Farnham (well, the actress who played her) on a railway station platform once in the 80s.He looked at her.And she looked at him.And they both though " don't i know you?"

tsk.

patricia was his original missus in the series, but they'd actually got married after he'd had an affair with her. he later remarried his first wife. susannah. and, although max was on trial for susannah's murder, didn't she trip over a toy at the top of the stairs? (always make sure the lego is put away nicely, kids.) he later had flings with sammy rogers and jacqui dixon.

i had a soft spot for max at one time; all floppy fringe and bumbling public school boy...

Susannah!! That's the one i'm on about.Had remembered her name as Samantha for some reason. My memory is getting awful.Yes i know Patricia was his original missus in the soap.Susannah came on the scene later on and was revealed she was Max's former wife. And whom he then started knobbing again. And later remarried. Then killed.Possibly.

So to clarify and summarise -

I liked Susannah.

I didn't like Patricia.
