Yes, Bronski Beat and The Communards are almost the same band, but then they released different singles.

Among the three, I will give my little respect to The Communards.

Don't Ask Me To Choose.

Oh no, that's Fine Young Cannibals, isn't it.

The Communards then.

Don't really see the connection but if this is some kind of favourite gay artist then Soft Cell and PSB are infinitely better, otherwise they each have had their moments.

BTW Is Richard Coles the only pop artst to join the clergy?

Hard. I don't think that you can really compare or choose here. I like all three of them. And though it's 2:1 chances for Mr. Somerville, I'll choose Erasure. I got almost every 80s 12" of them :D .

I admit I have albums by all three bands (one's a 'best of' type album of Bronski Beat and The Communards, and I have a couple by Erasure), but I think of the three, I like Erasure best.

Ditto.

I have seen Erasure live and they were pretty solid. Commu-Beat had some catchy tunes, but Erasure has developed and produced on a consistent basis for years.

Never understood the hoopla around Erasure. thier music is stuff that was subpar in the 80s, and I don't think has any staying power after that decade. Completely horrid stuff... best that they live up to thier name, which they never seem to do...

Don't know the other two, so couldn't comment on them...

Erasure for me, although I like Bronski Beat too. Never really got into the Communards.

ERASURE! Although they've gone off the boil last few albums, they've written some great tunes over the years.

Only seen Erasure of the 3,and Andy was wearing a leotard made out of a old cadbury bars, showing off in it,but it was scruffy and crap clobber to wear..They done some good choons back in the day.
