The five remaining members of The Triffids gave a series of performances on January 17 - 20, 2008, as part of the 2008 Sydney Festival celebrating the music and the memory of David McComb.[12] The band were joined on stage by a number of Australian musicians including Mark and Rob Snarski (Blackeyed Susans), Toby Martin (Youth Group), Steve Kilbey (The Church), Mick Harvey (Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds), Chris Abrahams and Melanie Oxley.

thanks everybody, especially Peter for the Triffids pic. looks like I'll have to spend a couple of more bucks for the Beautiful Waste CD on import as it doesn't look like it'll be released here. Still, playing Field Of Glass on vinyl is quite rewarding in its own way

nah, think they've learned most of their lessons from last year, bar the "relief corp by gas can commitee" situation still in effect. They got pounded by the Cubs in the (only) two games these teams have played waaay back in April, so we'll see what happens when chicago comes to NY the last week of the season. No way in hell do I want the Cubs to win anything, the patheticness of people becoming "fans" because of their "long suffering" history is disgusting (see recent converts to Red Sux "nation").
