Green Eggs and Ham is my second favorite book of all time, just behind the Illiad. Literary genius that book is. That book shaped much of my life... laugh if you will, but just trying the things you think you hate many times surprises the hell outta ya.

One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish Just random absurdity... without all those "messages", I never liked kid books that were so obviously trying to have a message.

Did you ever read that non-Suess book about the kid who overfed his Goldfish so the fish grew as big as a whale? The message was to always listen to adults no matter what cause they are always correct... but the story is bullshit, your Goldfish would never grow whale size, it would just die in it's own waste if overfed like that. The message from that creepy guy with the mustache is wrong, even if overfeeding you fish can cause problems. Pisses me off.

"Green Eggs and Ham" My daddy read that to me when I was little. When my niece was born, it was the first book I bought for her.
