Didn't she used to be married to Miles Hunt?? You wouldn't want to go there. I'd wager there's still bits of a lamb balti, circa-1988, attached to her uterus.

I'm not joking.

Quite like some of the stuff she plays. She can get a bit 'Westwood' sometimes though, "down wit all her homies" etc type of stuff, which sounds plain daft coming from a white, middle class[ish]woman.

'Mary Anne left school aged 16 and went to work in an egg packing factory for the princely sum of £39 per week.

She soon ran away to London with a hard rock band, while working as their lighting engineer, record sleeve artist, wardrobe designer and mechanic

Mary Anne can ride any motorcycle and this has led to TV work. She hosted a season of live coverage of the World Superbike Championship for British Eurosport in 2005.

Mary Anne also made a series called Mary Anne's Bikes about global biker culture for the former BBC Choice TV channel, fronted 27 hours of live coverage at Glastonbury Festival for the BBC, and has guested on everything from BBC Two's Never Mind The Buzzcocks to John Peel's Record Box for Channel 4.

I thought she was just a rawk chick, no?

Obviously not.

I like the quote "Mary Anne can ride any motorcycle" - what on earth does that mean?

Are there some special motorbikes out there that yer average Joe simply can't ride then?

She mostly spins electro/dubstep/breaks on her show these days

She doesn't always ride a bike though as I bumped into her on a bus in North London last year..told her I liked her show!

Also saw her backstage at the John Peel tribute gig a couple years ago with Jo Wiley

Burds can find it quite difficult in all seriousness, short legs and small feet aren't ideal for motorbiking. A girl at work has 'modifications' to hers so she can reach the ground!

What, she had her legs modified?? Bit extreme, innit - just buy a bike that fits?!?!
