a few weeks ago i read that he only had a few weeks to live, so it's no surprise. still, sad news. a great actor and philanthropist.
well, Slap Shot was the first film I was ever able to see Paul in...........gotta love that old time hockey, eh? R.I.P. Paul (his Tequila/Lime Salsa is the only packaged salsa I'll ever buy).
Shitty year for US racers. First Phil Hill and now Paul Newman. Newman was at the MotoGP at Indy last weekend (or the weekend before, nightshift damags the brain).
I believe he also dabbled in acting with some success.

Fuckin No.
He was the best.I'm truely gutted...
The best.A beautiful man.
On an actors level,I could watch anything with him in it.. Was always very impressed with stuff I read about him as a human being even more so..A man of great compassion and dignity..
He's up there with Tony Mowbray for me. I know he was old,and I knew he was dying, but fuck, this is sad news..
Shine on in heaven gadge.

Interesting how he made alot more money from the sauces, than in his highly successful acting career..
Bet he was a bit saucy on the sly aswell, behind closed doors with the mrs,like..
And he gave all that profit away, discreetly, like an Ian Rush finish, with a minimum of fuss..
He was Shit-hot,all said and done,deffo...![]()
I'd go so far as to say,God wants him up there,to hold the fort while he goes on a bender with the lads..
He's that sound. RIP
A good "Working" Actor, rather than a Movie Stars of today, did so much for charity without showing off about it...RIP
Wasn't it Paul Newman that coined the phrase, 'why eat burger, when you have steak at home?'
