Would God consider it a sin that in class today I loudly referred to Sarah Palin as a "fucking Muppet"?

I don't know if she is stupid or just stubborn minded but she has to suddenly, without prior warning, pretend to care about the United States, the United States government, other nations around the world, thinking beyond her fundamentalist church... she never gave a shit before about the world outside Alaska. Maybe it's not so much stupidity, but just arrogance because she doesn't care.

Hell, she has spent over half her term as governor with her own unplanned pregnancy and her teenage daughter's pregnancy, keeping her daughter out of school, and getting her old friends cushy jobs and trying to get other people fired. She hasn't had the time to worry about all this shit.

If Obama wins... will the right wing promote Palin to be President in 2012?

There is no excuse for her to not be able to name a single Supreme Court decision. Even if she is Alaska-centric, what she said about Russia and her detailed Pakistan plan claim to a voter shows that she has no sense of reality and doesn't know what she's talking about. She couldn't even name a single newspaper she reads! I don't buy it. She is stupid! She's a brainwashed fundamentalist christian with no grasp on how politics works. Tomorrow's debate is going to be an onslaught. I cannot wait!

She didn't name one, as it is completely OBVIOUS, that she didn't want to stir up any issues in the campaign. Saying directly that she's for or against a specific Supreme Court desicion WILL haunt her, regardless of what it is.

Therefore God has created everything on Earth, but not with a click of the temporal fingers, the window of time was jolly long.

This makes the two theories compatible?

that would be the intelligent christian way of approaching this. most of genesis is thought to be metaphorical (by anyone with any sense), is it not?

If someone says "may god strike me down now for X or Y", you can't say "Ha, he got you" when the guy dies in bed 25 years later. Hit by a bus the next day, I'd accept as some form of evidence worthy of further study, but some mundane death weeks or years later, that's just silly.

I was born jewish, but I don't practice. My beliefs tend to coincide with the agnostic/athiest stance. I've lived in Columbus Ohio and I've seen the destruction that religious fanaticism and extremism has caused, from delusional preachers yelling on campuses that you're going to hell if you don't believe in Jesus, to christian students who were convinced that Jesus is the "absolute truth" and were intolerant of any other beliefs. The more religious (just like republican) you are, more likely the less educated you are. Which is ironic, considering that poor religious people are generally republican but republicans dont give 2 shits about the poor, but poor redneck christians are too stupid to realize that and because republicans usually spew Jesus rhetoric, they support these politicians based on their faith claims.

I cannot wait to see the new Bill Mahr film "Religious".....and I also can't believe I actually agree with Uncle Liam on something.
