Some points to chew......... The "election" is over a month away[1]. To those of us in the Free World, politcs in your country appears to be a vote for the far right and the incredibly far right. Bickering like a City fan and a United fan locked in a room together (frisked for weapons, and possibly tied up so they last long enough to bicker) over two nanoscopically differing points of view is irritating and silly (that's "bad silly" as in "keyboard error, press F1 to continue" not "good silly" as in running down the highstreet wearing only a dafodil). We may all be more worried about whether we're havinv stewed shoes or raw candles for dinner by Nov.

In short, please, PLEASE keep SOME kind of a lid on it because if yous run riot with it, team RoW (that's rest of world) WILL have you all confined (quarantined even) in your own forum, until at least February.

My final thought,"don't vote, it only encourages them" (well, that and the fact that if you vote a govt in, and they kill someone, you're a killer, and if it was an innocent....a murderer).

Consider the fact that the economic crisis you're concerned about was brought about by far-right economic policies in place here, and whether we're all eating stewed shoes may well be determined by the November election...

You recokon Obama's foreign policy ISN'T "Bomb the piss out of anyone who has something we want, after first making up lies about them"????? I doubt it. Although Clinton's appeared to be "bomb the piss out of ANYONE just so long as people talk about that and not me getting my knob sucked" (which of itself speaks volumes, as does US TV....blood, gore and limb-from-limb action are all fine and dandy. But show a cock-shot and the sky will fall in.)

I agree it wouldn't be so bad if people on this board didn't act as if they were open-minded, but really have blinders on for thier own candidate.

But Doc, blame us septics for bringing in our politics... but it wasn't us that brought in "does God exist" silliness (as if arguing over a forum s going to change anyones belief in that)

I think it's an important political question, given that most US politicians seem to believe they have a mandate from this non-existent entity.

Of course, party politics is arse in any country. And the UK has followed you along the same road.....just check out the shift in the labour party from rabid socialism to rabid capitalistic facism in 25 years.

The problem with party politics is the concept of party policy, in a sensible world, folks would take each new situation as it comes.
