He's famously harsh,but unfair...Google the bitch.

When I was stationed in Okinawa, the military had a time curfue of midnight on "gate 2 street", the street for Americanized fun (clubs, stores, etc).
Being the responsible lance corporal, me and my friends decided to leave the club at 11:55pm. We ran were my car was parked, but alas only an empty hole between two parked cars was there. I had unknowingly parked in a no-parking zone, and the Japanese Police being thier usual unbiased selves (or so they claim) had somehow pulled my car from between to illegally parked Japanese owned cars.
Looking at my watch I realized we had 3 minutes to reach the Air Force gate (named Gate2) to skip being arrested for being past curfue. We took off sprinting, and reached the gate at midnight exactly. The MP stated we were past curfue and he was going to arrest us. I tried explaining the situation to him, asking how I could find my towed car, but he reached for his handcuffs and said he didn't care. So I did the most rational thing I could think of , I pushed him and clocked him in the face; he fell to the ground. We took off running back to Gate 2 street towards the area where taxis were parked. The other MPs saw it and took off after us. We jumped in the nearest taxi, yelling at the Japanese guy to take off... amazingly he burned rubber.
Was certian we would get caught at our own base's gate, but we went in no problems. After the whole ordeal, I finally found were my car had been towed. Payed $500 in tickets, fines etc, for a car I originally paid $300 for.![]()

Translation:
'You'd be imprisoned in Army barracks in Colchester ' - (Yes, I know, you were USAF but we have to bear with the ignorant...) 'you'd be cleaning the head with your own toothbrush as a punishment. They must let any retard into your army (or Air Force). It's no wonder that despite the funding and resources available to your military, you still can't fight well...'
From experience, I'd say that if you can find ANY member of the British Military who thinks that they're adequately funded or equipped, keep them, laminate them and put them up for auction - they'd be unique.
As for the original question... didn't need to. They were too stupid to find me in the first place.
Yup... on bicycle... numerous times. Seems various police officers don't like it when you ride your bike on things that weren't meant to be ridden on... or over. What a horrible crime.

Thanks for recapping. (but I was a Marine, not a nasty flyboy
)
Boaty, was a risk worth taking. If I was caught would definately have gone to the brig. Surprised it didn't get to our base.... remember though, it was an Air Force base, and they are a more delicate breed, no way I could have done that on a Marine base... but then I wouldn't hit another Marine and another Marine wouldn't have been an arsehole like the AF MP.

any reason you bring up the subject in the first place?
Exactly. Enquiring minds want to know!
my mate dave tried to run away from the cops, when found with a lady of the night down Chorlton street, sadly his pants were round his ankles at the time and it all turned a bit benny hill as he was chased round the police van. hilarious to watch, but very embarassing.
